WILL Raison fished his fourth match of the week on Sunday winning the Sunday Open at Gold Valley Lakes recoding his third win in a week when he rattled up a 97-4-0 of carp and silvers from peg 43.
It certainly has been advantage Will in a week when the match scene was surprised with the announcements of Daiwa's new Advantage Bait's range created to Will's own requirements.
The three wins were joined by a second place in an incredible run of success for the international match star.
The successful run began on Wednesday winning the midweek open from the jackpot peg: https://www.v2vangling.co.uk/jackpot-peg-advantage-for-will-in-match-win/
Next was the Friday open with Will attaining runner-up spot on a day when Giovanni Barbota set a new lake match record (since Middle Lake was restocked with F1s) with 155 lb: https://www.v2vangling.co.uk/will-finishes-strong-with-big-f1s-for-2nd/
Onto Saturday and he was back to winning again: https://www.v2vangling.co.uk/saturday-open-win-for-will/
The winning streak continued on Sunday with 97-4-00 from Gold peg 43.
Here's Will's take on Sunday's match: "
"Open match on Gold today, really happy with my draw, peg 43. I had a good start on the bomb with five carp early then I had two on the waggler mid match plus a few bream on the pole. I fed my edge line with the Advantage Baits Big Carp groundbait and had two carp for 30 lb late on to secure the match win. Great bait, great weekend. This week I have the Wednesday league at Gold, then off to Moorlands Farm Saturday for the fisho qualifier. Wish me luck although I seem OK in that department at the moment!!!!
DO NOT FORGET THE SILVERS
Will was keen to remind us of something really important that had made the difference this week. Here's what he had to say:
"Just one last thought, I know it's easy to give advice when you are on a good run, but also I like to share with you the things that I feel are really important for me, Wednesday 1st, Friday 2nd, Saturday 1st, Sunday 1st, and with out silver fish, I would not have framed in any of the matches! It is so important to feed for silver fish, cover your options, so when the carp shut up shop, usually in the middle of the match, you have somewhere to go. Today I won by 17 lb, and in the middle of the match I caught 18 lb of skimmers, ignore the silver fish and you may just miss out! WR.
