EMAG ACCESS FAQ'S
Most of our Emag subscribers have no problems downloading and accessing the files but occasionally you can run into a problem. If you are stuck have a look through the FAQS list below which contains the tips to resolve most problems.
1. What exactly is an E-mag? An E-mag or Emagazine is an online electronically delivered periodical.2. Where are the links to download the files? The links are sent with the emailed invoice and they are also listed on the www.v2vangling.co.uk homepage.
3. When I enter my Login Credentials it says "Credential Fault" . This is displayed when the Login Credentials have been entered incorrectly. This could be due to using capitals instead of lowercase characters, zeros instead of noughts and using spaces where there aren't any.4. When I enter my Login Credentials it says "Rights Fault". This is displayed when trying to access a document that you do not have access to, this could be for example because your access has expired at the end of a trial period or because you are accessing a document that has not been subscribed to.
5. Where is the Login Box? It is on page three of the magazine after the Editorial Contents page.
6. I can see the cover and editorial page but the Login Box is just scrambled text. After downloading make sure that the file you see has opened up in Adobe Reader and not an internet browser, this is important. If it is not opening in AR make sure you have AR on your computer (most do). Launch AR and go to preferences and set it as the default Reader. Most computers are equipped with Adobe Reader however if you do not have Adobe Reader or have an older version you can download the latest version of Adobe Reader as a free download from the link at the bottom of this page. (NB: If you are a Mac user by default the Mac OS uses Preview as it's PDF reader so you need to launch Adobe Reader and make it the default reader.) Save the files to your hard drive.
7. Why do I have to Login? Access is restricted to subscribers only.
8. Do you do a printed version? No this is a computer file Emagazine only.
9. Can I share the file? You can send the file to anyone but they must be a subscriber to unlock and access the © copyright protected contents.
10. I've put the Login Credentials in but it won't work. Enter your details in these boxes making sure to use the correct case as supplied because the login system is case sensitive, i.e. take care when entering capitals and lowercase characters.
11. After I enter the Login Credentials I get a message saying asking me to uncheck 'Enable global object security policy' javascript. What do I do? This is not unusual go to "Edit > Preferences > JavaScript and uncheck the 'Enable global object security policy' checkbox"
12. I'm on a Mac and the file won't open up. The file needs to open in Adobe Reader, by default the Mac OS uses Preview as it's PDF reader so you need to launch Adobe Reader and make it the default reader
13. Can I use more than one computer to access the files? Your login credentials will work on three different IP addresses (computers) so you can make copies and for example access them at home, on a lap top or at work.
14. I can't access the files on my work computer. Some workplaces have strong firewalls that prevent donloading of files from third party web sites. If this is the case you may have to access the files on your own system.
15. Can I access the file without being connected to the internet? You must be connected to the internet in order to activate your Login Credentials and unlock the file. However after logging in you can tick a check box to be automatically signed in each time you open the file.
16. I'm still having problems can I get online help? If you email help@v2vangling.co.uk using the HELP button below we will get back to you as soon as possible usually within the hour and certainly within 24-hrs.
